BOOKKEEPER, CONSULTANT & PAYROLL MANAGER
(Part-time to Full-time Position)

This job is located in Rye, NH, just moments from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. You must be able to commute to this location for this position, it is not a remote role.

Is this you?

  1. Have 3-5 years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper
  2. Extensive QuickBooks experience (Desktop and QBO)
  3. Have a strong background in payroll processing & management
  4. Experience working with multiple clients from different industries

Position:

Part-time to full-time bookkeeper/consultant & payroll manager working under the supervision of our lead consultants to provide clients with services related to of all things accounting, except taxes, we don’t do taxes. We don’t want to do taxes.

Scope of Job:

Duties include, but are not limited to, full charge bookkeeping duties, payroll processing & management, working with lead consultants to compile data and maintain financial reporting at various levels, client communications.

Hours = Part-time/Growing/Flexible

Starting hours approx. 10-20 hours per week, but the position will quickly grow to a 25-32 hour per week position over the first 8 weeks. Looking for candidates with desired work hours of at least 30/wk, but up to 40 is also welcome. Work hours & days may vary, dependent on client work needs. Flexibility is a must. We strongly believe in working to maintain consultant workloads at their desired hours. We expect our part-time staff to pitch in when needed with extra hours at crunch times, and they expect us not to overburden them beyond agreed upon commitments in normal times. We want you here when we need you, and we support your wanting to enjoy your life outside of work without the burden of being over-committed.

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience

Required skills and qualities:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting Preferred
  • Extensive experience in QuickBooks bookkeeping software
  • Strong Payroll Processing experience
  • Strong systems and general accounting skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Good client management skills

The Position:

Part-time consultant of all things accounting, except taxes, we don’t do taxes. We don’t want to do taxes.

Scope of Job:

Duties include, but are not limited to, full charge bookkeeping duties, financial analysis, internal audits, budgets, forecasts, cash projections, payroll processing, systems evaluation and implementation, software integrations, and sometimes, client therapy…if they are going through a rough patch. Compassion and empathy are a must.

Hours = Part to Full Time

Looking for someone who ultimately wants 30-40 per week. Position does “ramp up” to allow for training time. First weeks starting hours approx. 15 hours per week, but then growing 32+ over time. Work hours & days may vary, dependent on client work needs. This allows for a flexible schedule around client deadlines. This position has the potential for remote work, or a remote/in office hybrid after the initial (90 day) evaluation period.

Compensation:

  • Good team management skills
