Our firm is both bonded and insured, and we are able to offer Certified Trust Accounting (known as NH Rule 50) for lawyers and legal professionals that are required to work with certified recordkeeping firms. Obtaining this status requires a great deal of transparency and trust. We pride ourselves on strict client confidentiality which allows us to remain a valuable resource for medical, legal, and financial clients who are held to strict regulations and reporting requirements.

As Managing Partner of Peak Business Consultants, Maki Pombo is deeply committed to the mission, values, and clients of the firm. With over 17 years of experience, Maki continually strives to do more than manage the needs of customers; she endeavors to see Peak’s Consultants become valued partners to each of their clients, taking great pride in seeing financial successes at every stage of growth. Shortly after completing her Masters in Business Administration degree from the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at UNH in 2006, Maki took over as Managing Partner at Peak.  Since that time she has continued to build the business with the support of her talented team.  Maki has worked to both deepen the level of service offering as well as diversify Peak’s client base. When she is not helping her clients, Maki enjoys outdoor adventuring of all kinds, particularly backpacking and rock climbing, with her husband Matt, daughter Maya and dogs Ruby & Boomer.
Kate Callahan

Kate Callahan has over 17 years of financial consulting experience and excels at streamlining systems to help businesses run smoother and more efficiently.  She has worked in a variety of industries and applies this knowledge to her accounting skillset, giving clients over 20 years of on the job experience. Kate is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and has been with Peak Business Consultants since 2005. She currently serves as a Senior Consultant to the firm and, having come from a family full of self-employed business owners, knows exactly what it takes to help Peak’s clients succeed. In her free time, Kate enjoys practicing yoga and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Tammie J. Carney

Tammie J. Carney

Senior Consultant

Tammie Carney is an accounting professional with over 35 years of experience, starting as an accounts payable clerk and making her way through accounts receivable, general accounting, and cost accounting.  During this time, she attended classes in the evening while working full-time as a single parent and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, graduating summa cum laude and receiving the Presidential Scholar award.  She graduated from college in the same year that her daughter earned her high school diploma.

Serving in a controller role for 25 years, Tammie has been intricately involved in the implementation of fully integrated ERP systems for several companies.  Her passion is streamlining and creating consistency, and finding the shortest path to get the job done.

When she is not crunching numbers, Tammie enjoys volunteering with her church and in her community, sharing time with her husband as they watch their children and grandchildren find their place in the world, as well as indulging in a fascination with computer games.

Samai Cartier

Samai Cartier is a New England native with over 17 years of accounting experience, having worked with both large corporations and small business on a wide variety of accounting related projects.  Samai most recently worked for Liberty Mutual as a Financial Analyst focusing on innovation, policy/ procedure development, and financial compliance.  Samai has her MBA from Southern New Hampshire University and brings a diverse mix of financial and managerial experience to the Peak team.    

In her free time, Samai enjoys learning about different cultures, reading, and spending time here on the Seacoast with her family. 

Debbie Prindeville

Debbie Prindeville

Lead Consultant

Debbie Prindeville brings a wealth of client facing, financial and managerial experience to the Peak Team. Debbie brings a solid mix of accounting and small business experience having spent 7 years in a corporate accounting capacity, with over 13 years of experience helping small business owners with accounting, payroll, taxes. Debbie has a BS in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. 

When not improving the lives of Peak’s clients, you’ll find Debbie at home helping to raise her grandchildren, or traveling the world for fun.

Trish Slaski

Trish Slaski

Lead Consultant

Trish Slaski came to New Hampshire by way of New Jersey, Vermont, and Boston, and currently resides in Southern NH. A 33 year veteran of the financial industry, she spent a majority of her accounting career in the Boston area working as a Portfolio Manager for John Hancock where she managed corporate Real Estate Investment and Mortgage Portfolios. Trish has also worked as a Business Consultant for Hood, LLC, as a Controller with Add-On Data, as well as a consultant to small businesses. Trish enjoys working with numbers and auditing, and finding out where that missing number went!

Her specialties include balancing many tasks at once, QuickBooks, payroll, accounts payable, client management, fiscal management, reporting and general financial analysis, and she is a licensed notary in the State of NH.

In her free time, Trish enjoys yoga, skiing, boating, the outdoors and spending time with her husband, son, daughter and Shih-tzu Macie.

Katie Buzuvis-Zautcke

Katie Buzuvis-Zautcke

Katie Buzuvis-Zautcke (aka Katie B) has been a core member of the Peak Team since 2014. Katie began her tenure at Peak as our do all/know all office ninja. Since then, she has leveraged her terrific interpersonal skills and efficiencies to the consulting side of the business. Her emphasis is, and always has been, focused on the customer, and it is her attention to detail that has always set her apart. These days, you’ll find her juggling client communications and crunching numbers.

As a former restaurant owner, Katie learned to keep many balls in the air – while maintaining her focus as well as her sense of humor. When she isn’t helping clients, Katie is a dedicated Yoga instructor and has been teaching on the Seacoast since 2000. She enjoys spending her free time relaxing with her husband and daughter.

Sue Gray

Sue began her tenure as our operations specialist, quickly becoming the pulse of Peak’s day to day schedule – and the glue that held us all together. However, it was apparent that her skill at managing internal operations was easily transitioned to better serve our clients – so her role has been refined to a client-facing consultant. She brings a diverse set of skills to the table, having worked in retail, hospitality, healthcare, education and as a volunteer secretary of her local PTA, and is thriving in her consulting role. 

In her spare time, Sue enjoys all that New Hampshire has to offer including skiing, the beach, and attending the various sporting events her children actively partake in across the region.

Kaitlyn Ivanitski

Kaitlyn Ivanitski

Operations Specialist, Consultant

As our Office admin, Kaitlyn is the pulse of our customer operations, she welcomes visitors and is always happy to answer questions or direct people to the right contact.  She came to the Seacoast area by way of New Jersey and has a Bachelor’s Degree in History a from Kean University. Before joining the team at Peak she worked for both a preschool and an engineering firm, only to suddenly find herself packing her bags and moving to Kittery, Maine to live with her boyfriend, Chris, who is stationed at the Naval Base.

In her free time, she enjoys photography, cooking, traveling to different sports stadiums, and going on adventures with her boyfriend and pup, Khaleesi.
